What to Plant in July
Winter is the ideal time to sow many cool-season seeds directly into the ground or into seed trays:
- Vegetables: Garden Peas, broad beans, spinach, Swiss chard, kale, lettuce, radishes, and carrots all thrive in the cool winter soil.
- Herbs: Parsley, coriander, and chives can be sown now for a fresh spring harvest.
- Flowers: Sweet Peas, pansies, snapdragons, and stock love the cold — sow them now for a spectacular spring display.
- Bulbs: Plant ranunculus, anemones, and freesias for gorgeous late-winter and spring blooms.
Garden Maintenance Tasks for July
